Terms of Use

Rooted is a fitness and wellbeing community for South Asians. It lets you set goals, log daily check-ins, ask and answer questions in the community, and chat with an AI Coach. Some features, such as the AI Coach, may require a paid subscription.

Rooted provides general fitness and wellbeing information. It is not medical advice — please read our health disclaimer.

Rooted only works if it stays kind and safe. When using the community you must not:

• abuse, harass, bully or shame other people, their bodies, food or fitness level;
• post spam, advertising or repetitive self-promotion;
• impersonate a coach or claim qualifications you don't have, or otherwise pretend to be someone you're not;
• post content that is unlawful, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Our community guidelines explain the spirit of these rules in more detail.

Some answers come from verified coaches. Verification means we've checked that a coach holds the qualifications they claim, and we badge their replies so you can spot them. It is not a guarantee of any particular outcome. Coaches offer general guidance, and you should always use your own judgement and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

You can stop using Rooted and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that misuses the service, breaks these terms or the community guidelines, or puts other members at risk. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll let you know why.

• The AI Coach is offered on a subscription with a free trial. The trial length and price are shown before you subscribe.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and the recurring fee is charged to your payment method via Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Prices may change, and we'll give you reasonable notice before any change affects you.

Rooted is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, or from any decisions you make based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
